Jim’s Gym is Growing – New Classes and Exciting Additions!
This past week has been a whirlwind for Jim’s Gym, and I want to take a moment to acknowledge the changes many of you have experienced. With Goldster recently closing, I know this has been a difficult transition for many members who relied on it as part of their routine. For many, it was more than just a wellness platform—it became a lifeline, especially through the challenges of COVID, providing connection, structure, and a way to stay active at home.
While it’s always sad to see a great platform close its doors, I know many of you are looking for a new space to stay active and connected. My hope is that Jim’s Gym can provide that for you—a place where you can continue your fitness journey, maintain your routine, and feel part of a welcoming community.
Expanding Our Class Offerings
To help you maintain your weekly routine, I am continuing with the classes I previously ran on Goldster, now here at Jim’s Gym. As part of supporting our growing community, I’ve also introduced four new classes to the schedule—two of which will be familiar favourites for those who joined me on Goldster:
Monday Intervals – 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM (Entry Level), 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM (More Challenging)
A fantastic way to build stamina, energy, and agility for daily life.Wednesday Strength Training – 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM (Entry Level), 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM (a little heavier)
Improve functional strength with a full-body workout.Tai Chi with Andy Yao – Starts Monday, 4th March at 10 AM (4-week programme)
Experience the ancient art of Tai Chi. Gentle-flowing movements to promote balance, flexibility, and inner calm while reducing stress—perfect for all levels.Coming Soon: Yoga with Virginia Walker & Functional Pilates with Amy Smith
With these additions, Jim’s Gym now offers even more variety to help you stay active, strong, and independent.

With so many updates, I’ve refreshed the Jim’s Gym class schedule and all class links. These will be sent out to members every Sunday, 3rd March at 7 PM, so please check your inbox. If you don’t see it, have a quick look in your spam folder—sometimes things get lost in there!

Two Free Workouts Every Week!
For those in the Friends of Jim’s Gym Facebook group, don’t forget we run two free 10-minute workouts every week, suitable for all abilities (seated options given through out):
Tuesdays at 9 AM – A fun and energising 10 exercises in 10 minutes workout.
Fridays at 9 AM – A focused 10-minute functional workout, targeting a specific movement or muscle group each week (e.g., squats, balance, or core strength).
